A memory to keep
A portrait and a song become a small keepsake from a day worth remembering.

Some photographs hold a person and the feeling of the time around them. This one was shared as a memory to keep, with music close to the moment too.
A portrait can be simple and still feel full. The expression, the pause before the next thing, and the fact that someone chose to preserve this instant all become part of the picture. Looking back, I like that the image does not need to explain everything. It just lets the memory stay near.
That is often what I hope for from a photograph: not a complete record, but a small doorway back into a day.
