A day in the garden

There is an uncomplicated happiness in a day spent outside. The garden gives the eye somewhere to wander: leaves, paths, and the soft layers of green that make the world feel unhurried.

This moment needed very little. A woman, a garden, and a beautiful day were enough to make me stop and take a picture. It is a reminder that a good memory does not always arrive with a plan. Sometimes it is simply the feeling of being in the right place for a little while.

When I look back at the image, I remember that openness more than anything else.
